Ping to router = bad = game lag

Hey guys, so i'm just wondering the troubleshooting practices for high pings to your router from your laptop.

It will be semi consistently well in the 2-5 range, but then spike to 125ms or so randomly which creates latency variations that totally lag online games

I would suggest doing your normal routine wired for a couple days and run some test and see if that solves your issues. If not, it may be either your router (I assume you're still running ISP provided router) or your ISP is having issues with equipment outside of your control.
