Why you need raid 1 on an already fast nvme drives?

I guess you  could if you're not using it as a boot drive.

You can use windows raid to combine them.

but why not just use a sata drive, it's not like the vm will use all those bandwidth.

yeah. so are you saying that I can raid 2 drives with 1 in the m.2 and 1 in pcie?

Yes, any drives that is recognized in windows can be raided (excluding the boot).

You can even combine HDD + Nvme, but it will use the max bandwidth that the slowest drive use.
