Isn't that what DRAM means?

thats what *ddr* means,.

ddr stands for double data rate becuase ram sends/receives data twice during a clock (once on rise and once on fall). so the effective speed is the clock x2.

I am not sure why you are seeing different numbers. my task manager shows the same thing as what cpuz shows.

Just got a laptop today. It was advertised as DDR4-2400 on a couple websites. DDR4-1866 on a couple others. And DDR4-1666 on another. Can't remember which one was shown on the official site that I bought it from.

When I bring up the task manager, it shows as 1200 MHz Speed and Form Factor as SODIMM.

When I do some coding in the command prompt to show the speed, it shows 1200.

When I use CPU-Z, it shows DDR4, Single Channel, 931.4 DRAM Frequency, 13-13-13.

What exactly is the RAM speed clocked at? I want to say 1866 because 931.4 x 2 is 1862.8. Am I right? Isn't that what DRAM means?
