HELP....title says all. My motherboard settings are default, using onboard graphics ryzen 2200g with asus prime b450 and 8gb ddr4 2666 (defaulted to 2133) and 256 m.2 nvme. I have an official windows 10 usb stick with license but the bios keeps looping saying insert boot-able device. I have tried the stick in several usb ports and I know it works because I used it to install on another system in the past. What is going on? Do I need bios update?

Should just go into your bios to select your boot device, or change the boot order to start with USB devices.

Coulda go a windows key for really cheap on ebay.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Also make sure you made the USB with the Windows Media Creation Tool.

He got one of the microsoft USBs

Actually depending on where he got it from it could always be a fake, as they don't readily make windows 10 USBs anymore I don't think.

Just use the Windows Media Creation Tool, that usb is obviously botched or something.

Update-

never mind... I figured it out. The boot option was set to USB, however, it wanted the UEFI USB to be selected in order to boot properly. Pretty confusing and stupid if you ask me.

Update 2

I can get to the screen where I select windows 64 or 32 bit but then after selecting it continues to loop. Any ideas?

You should return the USB if possible

and just make your own with the windows 10 media creation tool

I updated the BIOS and now I can get windows to launch the install, however now it crashing instantly when I try to install. Get the blue screen that says PC ran into problem and needs to restart when it attempts to load files. I think my M.2 is DOA.

Did you make your own windows 10 USB? Because that should fix any issues.

No, I am still using the windows one. I pulled the m.2 from the system and am attempting an install on a hdd at this moment and seems to be working.

Is the M.2 SSD NVME? because that might be an issue for an older windows USB.

Just download the ISO if you're using rufus, the website may be slow
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

and ya know return the one you bought if at all possible just claim it's defective it might work...keys are $5 on ebay

I just created the iso and made the boot usb with roofus but it is failing to even launch. I'm thinking my ram or motherboard or nvme is bad, this should not be happening, period. I may take it to a shop and hope they can free diagnostic for me or atleast test/swap ram or use a random hdd to install, or something. Otherwise i have to return all of these items to amazon because I cannot verify which is the failing item.

As long as it's in the correct MBR partition style it should be fine, can't see why it would have any issues.
