My GTX 1060 3GB Only Have 96bit Bandwidth ?

I Bought 2nd Palit GTX 1060 3gb, when I Check with GPU-Z, My GTX 1060 Only Showing 96bit Bus Width, Not 192bit

What happend ? Someone please help.

probably means it's actually a 1060 5GB once you flash in a 1060 5GB's BIOS. The 1060 5GB was meant to be a net bar only card and not available outside from that, but you know not everyone follows rules.

I can try, Yaa I have Intregrated Graphics on i7 3770.

it just refuses to display anything. This time you'll have to hook it up to your CPU's iGPU (which means using the boards' display output port) and use NVflash to flash its original bios back. This is why you should make bios backups before flashing

the 1060 5GB is 160bit, and is a GP106-350, with 1280 shaders.

 

it does not match the specs provided by op, which are that of the GP104 version of the 1060 3GB, either gpu-z is misreporting, or Palit is pulling a scamand selling 6GB cards with half the ram missing.

now that I think of it, 1050 3G is the 96bit bus card, not 1060 5G

If it's a new or refurb card and you bought it from a retailer, I would return it for a replacement rather than try to figure out what it really is.

Can you retest with 399.24?, am following up some new findings and linked ManuelG to this thread.

You know what's funny?  Mines changing... Seemingly at random... But I'm not sure if that's maybe normal.  It seems when there's some activity it goes up (in GPU-Z)?

 

Definitely not updating my drivers though as bandwidth is the least of my concerns and the driver I have now is *perfect* for the game I'm playing...

why would you buy a 1060 over a 580 , its not even close anymore

1060 is 4% faster and has better drivers (generally)

I’d have to check my 1060 I got a little while ago. 

Runs a lot hotter than I thought it would but gets the job done.

the interface width should never change

the bandwidth (GB/s) is calculated based on the amount of modules, clockrate and how many operations are done on the rising and falling edges.
