I'm currently using a Cooler Master H500 case which has front support for up to a 360mm radiator, but I don't feel like replacing the 200MM fans. what preformance detriments, if any, are there to using the 200mm fans over triple 120?
and yes I am aware of the lack of static pressure in 200mm fans.

Mounting would be one issue. Along with no shroud to even produce any static pressure.

Do it and try. Or get a rad that fits the fans.

You could just mount the fans on the inside of the case.

Then you can keep the 200m fans on the front. I did that with my 280 and it works great.

At first I tried it with only the 200mm fans and it wasn't good. Barely okay. I wouldn't recommend it.

I am using 2 280mm rads in series, running 1 with CPU fans and the other with GPU fans, so no matter whats under load, the water will be cooled.

Unless you make a custom shroud, 200mm's perform pretty badly on non-200mm rads. https://www.gamersnexus.net/guides/3084-cooler-master-h500p-radiator-placement-guide

Even with a custom shroud, it's still suboptimal compared to properly sized fans.
