Hi all, weird thing happening to my pc...

I had a rx 570 strix in my rig before which is an honorable card and is good for price to performance, i wanted something a lil more powerful and so i can make use of cuda. So i got a 1070 strix, when i got it from the guy who was selling it he showed me it working playing some games in his top pcie slot which is normal...

I take it home, plug it in and... no post i saw my motherboard post led said vga, so i switched slots and that worked but its not very good because the airflow isnt the best at the bottom slot.

Ive tried everything from cmos reset to taking out ram and reseating the cpu and nothing works.

I cant find any fixes so i can put it in my top slot,my rx 570 worked in the top slot btw and my old hd 5670 iceq works in there too, is there a fix or am i stuck with the bottom slot?

Here are my specs:

Os: windows 10 home 64 bit

Mobo: b450 Aorus elite. Rev 1.0

Cpu: ryzen 5 2600

Gpu: Strix 1070 oc

Psu: evga 650w gq

Have you re seated the GPU back into the top slot since you moved it to the bottom slot?

And are you using the Same PCI cable off your PSU or is the 570 a 6 pin power and the 1070 strix an 8 pin power?

Yes i have reseated it many a time, both are 8 pin. I have tried different cables but its all the same with the 1070. But the 1070 works in the pcie 4x
