Minecraft "cheap" build for my 5 year old

My son loves minecraft, and roblox, playing it a lot on IPAD, but he really would like to play with me, so installed it on my pc running 4K optifine sildur shaders, and running 60ish - 80 ish fps... so that is fine.

now he has borrowed my old extra laptop, an alienware R17 1070 oc + 32gig ram and a 6core cpu, but that was just for a couple of sessions, so i would like him to get his own desktop, just something used..

for 1080P + shaders, even though i know he does not care about graphics.

What GPU should i go for? looking at 2500k an onwards 4 cores used cpu´s, and 8 gigs of ram, firstly i looked a bit at the 3400g vega, but even though it is an APU it is way cheaper to buy used..

is a 1060 6gig overkill? since the marked is flooded with 1060 6gig and RX580´s for the moment, the 580´s actually the more expensive card? even the 970´s are actually expensive, same price as i sold 2x970 strix for when i bought my new 1080ti long ways back.

roblox and minecraft a 1050 should be suficcient.

though some shaders requires a lot of gpu power.

Anything i've written between the * and * is not meant to be taken seriously.

keep in mind that helping with problems is hard if you aren't specific and detailed.

i'm also not a professional, (yet) so make sure to personally verify important information as i could be wrong.

cant quote on roblox, but for minecraft you just need *some* dedicated GPU that's not intel integrated graphics, and that's on a pci-e 16x link (yes, that actually matters in minecraft..)

do you have anything on the shelf that's like, not 8 years old? because it'll probably work.

For the price, a (used) RX580 8gb is the king of budget 1080p.

Roblox and Minecraft, even a RX560 / 1030 is good enough.

If you consider the 3400g that should be good enough, as the performance is on par with 1030.

Ryzen 5700g @ 4.4ghz all cores | Asrock B550M Steel Legend | 3060 | 2x 16gb Micron E 2666 @ 4200mhz cl16 | 500gb WD SN750 | 12 TB HDD | Deepcool Gammax 400 w/ 2 delta 4000rpm push pull | Antec Neo Eco Zen 500w

well the 3400g was scrapped when i saw shader performance...

and it would be nice when he wants to do other things that it might work... however i just don´t want to give him whatever he wants, so it is fine, that it is not a perfect system...
