Do you only game. If so OMG, why would you get such a good cpu paired with budget gpu. Get Ryzen 5 2600 or Ryzen 5 3600 and 1660S or 1660ti

I got it in hopes that I could upgrade it in the future (2070, 2080, or a next gen) because 1. I am cheap 2. GPUs are expensive and 3. I needed some sorts of graphical output. also I don't only game (example posting here) and I don't really play intensive games (right now I'm playing a lot of ROBLOX [don't judge]).

I dont judge, but still 1650 is not good with r7 2700x.

For Roblox you dont need that much power

I do want to start playing more ARK but I get ~53 FPS until... The water... Water in ARK basically destroys my GPU as it drops to ~32 FPS and water is almost everywhere so... Yeah... Almost unplayable. But as I said I want to get a better (much better) GPU. This is just a temporary one that is a little bonus that I got with going AMD/Ryzen.

Well 1650 is not gonna help so much in ark. The 1650 is meant to be used with laptops or low wattage psu systems, cause 1650 uses under 100w

So replace my power supply with a battery that's constantly plugged in? (joke[if you couldn't tell])

You think posting here needs 8 cores?

There are a few settings you can change to get Ark to work much better.  A few command/launch codes as well.

its a requirement. (also 16 threads).

Requirement for what exatly? When using higher graphic preset the load goes more to gpu than to the cpu. I play GTA V on everythinh ultra with Ryzen 7 3700x and 5700 xt. My gpu usage is 99% and my cpu is 20%. In games the gpu matter more in higher presets. Homewer the cpu is getting more load, when using lower resolution.

Settings can be done with Youtube, but the command line stuff to enable all cores and set Shaders back I have to look up when I have access to what I sent a buddy.  If I can find it, I'll PM you,.

first of all it was a joke. second of all I do some other more CPU intensive things such as, video recording, video editing, browsing the internet (not really a load at all), and I also plan on getting into 3D modeling and maybe some audio editing.

Well, your cpu will be good enough for editing and rendering, but your gpu will, well its not good for rendering staff.

Which is why I called this topic the biggest gaming bottleneck ever. even though your talking about rendering.

That ain't the biggest bottleneck. The biggest goes to a Raspberry Pi duct taped with a 2080 Ti
