Hi guys,

looking to make a new PC build and have £1000 GBP to spend if anyone can give me some suggestions or help me out with picking some bits that would be great! I haven't had AMD for many years but have been hearing good things recently anyone have any opinions or advise would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

@stormseeker9 many thanks for the reply, it says there is some compatibility issues also in regards to cooling what would you recommend and any rgb upgrades ;)

There are no compatibility issues. PCP doesn’t do well with dimension - as you will be using stock cooler, it will 100% fit.

as for BIOS update: not needed as this is a MAX board, so works out of box with ryzen 3xxx.

as for RGB;

PCPartPicker Part List
Type Item Price
Memory G.Skill Trident Z RGB 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory £89.58 @ Aria PC
Case Cooler Master MasterBox Pro 5 RGB ATX Mid Tower Case £97.89 @ Amazon UK
Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts
  Total £187.47

Don’t have any experience with that case, but I think it has alright airflow.

Great build!

I'd use a Meshify C case, and slap a 7200RPM HDD scratch drive in it, and have no further critique really...

Nah, for the 3600 the B450 Max boards are plenty of VRM.

For 150 more I'd grab an eSports Duo cpu cooler, a HDD for storage, and upgrade to a 5700 XT GPU.

Could save the 37 on the cooler if you need a cutback.

aftermarket cooler really not needed.

If OP wants to spend more, I agree grabbing a 5700XT, especially if OP is targetting 1440P

I have the meshify C myself, but wanted to stay in budget. As for spinning rust? nope, not needed.

@Plouffe Thanks again bro, few things i was thinking of changing would be the Case and maybe some ram for RGB ones :D other than that would this be able to run games in 1440p fine? and would obviously be quick enough for the web design i do!

Thanks Again!

Yes the 5700XT and 2070S handle 1440p :)

@Plouffe i was thinking of getting some new monitors potentially soon but cant seem to find any good reviews etc.. any advise here aswell thanks for your help in advanced!

Around what budget ? There are good entry one at 200£ and destructor at 600£ like the AD27QD that @Stormseeker9 will recommend :D

Sorry forgot to mention regarding overclocking? would this be possible and if so what cooling would you recommend?

The one included will allow light overclocking, a Dark Rock 4 or NH-U14S are solid choices (I use the latter).

So, I know this is over budget, but you mentioned its more a workstation, than a gaming pc.

upgraded cpu to a 8c/16t, went with a X570 board for longetivity and better VRM cooling for the 3700x. X570 being gen 4 Pcie, your GPU can take advantage of this as they are pcie 4.0.

Case I went with something RGB, as you asked that before. With this system you should be fine for the next 5+ years to come.

This will easily run 1440P!

Highly vouch for the Gigabyte Aurus AD27QD. Absolutely love this monitor.

Would also recommend this monitor tho, to save some money

@Stormseeker9 thanks for the replys guys, in regards to the RAM do you think 32gb is required?? im currently using a very outdated computer with only 8gb of ram and most of my day to day work i can still do okay?

In regards to gaming i would like to run things in 1440p i mainly will be playing the new call of duty and some MMO's  / =  FPS  would like at least high - ulta setting on 60fps just fine?

Working - i will be using lots of internet browsers with some very minimum graphics work?

16Gb is enough and you'll have the possibility to upgrade to 32Gb down the line if needed.
