graphics card doesn't work after upgrading motherboard and cpu

I upgraded my intel i3 6100 to an ryzen 2700x with an asus b450 motherboard and a GTX 1070 and when i turned it on i didn't get any kind of picture on screen so i switched the graphics card to my old graphics card a GTX 1060 and it works perfectly. The 1070 still works in my other pc without any problems but not in my new pc with the ryzen cpu.

Update MBO bios. Check the 1070 in a different computer to see if it works. If it does work, retry in the main computer.

Ok, do the bios update, also check if there's a newer BIOS for the 1070 and flash that if there is.

Do you get no signal at al (as in does the screen not flicker at all)l, or do you get bios but no windows picture?

If that is the case, its likely the card is power starved or that it is a driver issue.

Gamesystem: X3700, 32GB memory @3200mhz, GTX1080 Hybrid

Unraid system: Epyc 7352, 24/48, 96GB ECC buffered @2666mhz, 2x GT710, GTX1050Ti

you have got your screen connected to the videocard and not the mainboard connection, right?

You mentioned you upgraded the bios. Which bios did you upgrade? The Mainboard or the VGA card bios?

the thing that doesn't make sence tho, is that the 1060 in the same system works . . . as they are essentially the same cards (sort off).

you are not running them side by side or in different slots on the mainboard? They are both connected on the same slot, as in you actually swap them out and don't leave them together in the same system?

Yes the screen is connected to the videocard. I upgraded the mainboard bios. I'm not running the videocards side by side i swapped them out and they were both connected to the same slot
