Samusung monitor cant access menu

Hi,

I have the samsung C24F396 monitor and for a long time now I have not been able to access the full menu. I can access the small up and down menu with volume contrast and brightness but not the one with game mode, sharpness, etc. Sometimes I can get it to work just randomly but most of the time not. The menu is meant to come up when pressing the small button in but it does nothing. Seems to be linked somehow to the led on the monitor. When the monitor is off it flashes blue. It seems to be that if the LED is bright, the menu will work when the monitor is on but if the LED is dim, it will not.

Any help will be greatly appreciated as this is an extreamly irritating issue and samsung help was useless. Just kept asking me to reset the monitor through the menu which I could not access.

Basically thats the issue. It used to work like that but now all it does is the up down menu with volume, brightness and contrast. It shows the menu guide at the start but in a small rectangle saying enter icon for features but pressing in the button does nothing
