Ryzen 3600 16gb 3200mhz Ram Rx 5700 xt. I am aiming for 3440 x 1440. Is this strong enough for max settings? Or settle for 2560 x 1440?

What frame rate are you looking to achieve?  Do you have a couple monitors in mind?

Here is a comparison chart of the RX 5700 XT in BF5 and Tomb Raider.

It's not enough for 3440x1440p100hz MAX ULTRA SETTINGS on Triple A games.

I already have *just* enough with my i9 9900 + 2080 Ti.

That said, I would rather continue with the ultrawide monitor and adjust/fine tune the graphical settings a little rather than "downgrade" to 2560x1440p to try keeping max settings, even why then you'll go for 144hz and continue not being able to max out the display potential.

Take this video as reference why ULTRA MAX settings shouldn't really be your end goal unless you can pay for the ultimate bleeding edge hardware:

Hey thank you for your prompt response. I am looking at the msi 100 hz 3440 x 1440 p monitor. But I've been looking online and started to feel sceptical about the actual performance. Im aiming to game at close to the monitor's refresh rate of 100hz. I don't mind adjusting the settings. But im trying to avoid having to sacrifice too much video quality for resolution

Hey thank you for responding so quickly. Would it have to be major adjustments to the graphics settings? Like adjusting from ultra to high or as far down to medium?. I dont mind adjusting but  i still would like the game to look and feel amazing. Thank you in advance.

Not necessarily, just going from ultra to very high / high already gives a considerable boost in performance most of the time so you'll be fine.

One thing to be aware of is that the RX5700XT dislikes high resolutions, the higher you get the more performance it loses so it might be valid to consider the RTX 2070 Super instead.

On 2560x1440p is about 6% faster on average than the 5700XT but on 4k it increases to 11% gap... just something to be wary of... on "gigantic" resolutions the difference gets insane:

Not really sure why Navi dislikes high resolutions so much.

I'd recommend reducing specific settings based on game. You can achieve much better visuals/performance ration in this way.

Laptop: Acer V3-772G  CPU: i5 4200M GPU: GT 750M SSD: Crucial MX100 256GB
DesktopCPU: R7 1700x GPU: RTX 2080 SSDSamsung 860 Evo 1TB

Well i atleardy bought the system. I havr a 1080p 60hz monitor so im not getting the most out of my system. So i was wondering whether to buy 3440 x 1440 or 2560 x 1440 to really get the most. Based on the feedback im getting my system should be able to push it between 60 n 100 fps by adjustinf thr settings.
