First and foremost, my personal recommendation in this genre...

Here's more but these I am unsure of whether or not they are grindy. A few you might need friends to play but most of them you won't.

Again, first and foremost, my personal recommendation in this genre...

Here's more but again, unsure of whether or not they're all grindy.

Pressed for time right now so that's all I got til I return. Try not to overlook any of these.

You want to actively waste time, but not grind?

Destiny 2 is pretty decent, I'd say I have about 60 hours in, though now I'm unsure what to do aside from random PVE things. The multiplayer I don't like, and trying to go for "legendary" gear is a total grind, and a lot of it seems locked behind the paid DLC.

But it runs really smooth and exceptionally well optimized. Plays real well.

World of Warships and World of Tanks

I second this. I recently finally picked up World of Warships myself and I'm loving it. Turns out it has a pug co-op mode, so I can just enjoy the ships and not worry so much about being relevant for a team. Jayztwocents has often codes, I used "PLAYLANGLEY2019" to get a free carrier and some currencies, IIRC it has stayed the same for a while.

One thing the game is missing is a "save replay" feature, but since it runs really well, capturing the gameplay yourself is easy (I use OBS). I started capturing my matches after I dodged torpedoes like this three times, and survived broadsiding the lead battleship of the duo coming right at me (I made a left turn and sailed parallel to them like they used to in the good old times).

So far my typical matches last 5-10 minutes (10 with battleships, 5 or less with all-quicker-boats), so it's very bite-size to pick up and put down whenever you have a moment. I highly recommend giving it a try! Only major downside is the rather hefty 75 GB it somehow manages to take.

(I just found a replays folder with .wowsreplay files in it, I'll need to look into those. Answering this topic might have helped myself, yay!)

which ones more fun and better? world of tanks of war thundeR?

I play both.

WoT is more of arcade type of gameplay. The tanks has hit points. And it tends to be grindy than what you prefer. You need to play tons of battles in one certain tier before move up to get the next tier tank, and here the in-game payments take part but it's not necessary. You pay the game only to advance faster because it can give you more exp points & more credits to research and buy next tier tank. Here you cant simply become OP when you pay the game. Most of the OP tanks are the regular tanks instead of the premium tanks.

The skill cap and learning curve in WoT are very high. You should educate yourself about the game mechanics, maps, and tanks characteristics, to be better. Even small bumps, sand dunes, or simply mention as the small highs and lows of the map terrain can be part of the battle tactics.

War Thunder is more realistic, but it also has arcade mode, even the arcade mode offers more realistic gameplay than WoT. War Thunder vehicles doesn't have hit points. War Thunder involves tanks, aircrafts, and ships in the same battle of certain modes. It's less grindy but it's more punishing than WoT, the chance of anyone can 1 shot kill you is higher here, because when they can penetrated your vehicle's armor and killed all the crews inside or damage the ammunition storage to be exploded you're done just like that.

Enemy spotted you, one shot, penetration, you get back to hangar. While WoT still spare you some hit points to survive till the end of the battle.

In War Thunder it's more difficult to see the enemy vehicles than in WoT, so you'd better keep your eyes active searching any movements on your monitor and be very very cautious! But you have 3 spawns for different vehicles in War Thunder.

For me, both games, World of Tanks and War Thunder are fun to play. WoT gives stress in the "next tier tank grinds" part of the game, when you need experience points and credits for it but your team keep losing the battle because difference of players skill, that kind of circumstance is quite hard to accept, so that's the stress point of WoT. While in War Thunder the stress point is the more punishing side of the game. You can just started the battle and go to the capture zone or wherever on any part of the map, and being destroyed instantly without a chance, but less grindy.

If I have to say which one is more fun to play between those two, I must say that WoT is more fun. Because there are light tanks which can be used to have fun trolling slower enemy tanks when situation allows..

You can find more bloopers or LOL videos in youtube which WoT has more than WT in that kind of videos.

Also, both games doesn't require high end GPU to play, WoT can run high-ultra setting at 1080p 60 FPS with GTX 1050 Ti or RX 570, GTX 1060 or RX580 can run it at ultra/all maxed out setting 1080p 90-130 fps. Even I tested just to know them where I found that WoT can run at 1080p 70-100fps low setting with only i7 8700K without dedicated GPU, yes, you are right it runs with the integrated UHD 630 iGPU of the 8700K without problem, while War Thunder can run at low setting 1080p 45-55 fps with only 8700K without dedicated GPU, but for maxed out setting 1080p 60 fps or more you need to use equivalent to the GTX 1070 or higher (assuming the processor is i7 8700/K)

There are Tank Realistic Battle mode where we can have tanks and aircrafts are involved at the same time, while Naval Battle mode involves aircrafts and ships at the same time but without the tanks. Sorry if I make you miss-understood.

I'm not sure, but it runs anti-cheat as their effort to combat any cheaters, as War Thunder used to have many cheaters in the game previously.

as long as it's needed till each of both sides run out of respawns for each players and till each of both sides successfully get the capture points.

In War Thunder it's easier to get kills than in WoT as long as you can survive the battle. Most kills record I got in WoT was 9 kills and it happenned only 1x within more than 10k battles, while in WT I got my kill record was 16 kills in less than 100 battles in arcade mode. The Tank Realistic Battle mode is significantly more difficult because you can't see enemy vehicles icons/indicators even they are in front of you, and they can use smoke and camo to make themselves even more difficult to be spotted by us and it also applies the same to us for them.

If you are good in WoT you can easily become a better player in WT arcade mode in term of using the map terrain and take advantages of the tank characteristics to get maximum use of yourself, but the Realistic Battle mode is in a different level.

Oh, and War Thunder includes modern vehicles.

In WoT you can show off your skill level by displaying "Mark of Excellence" on your tank's gun barrel, there are 3 level of Marks and they can be obtained by getting as much average damage per battle (for each tank) as you can, and boy that is not an easy job to get 3 Marks on your gun. If you see someone with 2 or 3 Marks on their guns, those guys are seriously skilled players.

Supposedly it's their torrent distribution system where it would seed new updates to other clients as long as the Gaijin launcher is running in the background, I elect to turn it off at boot so it does not consume my bandwidth.

I'm more of a world of tanks player though, it's slightly easier to get into than War thunder but the experience will be different.
