Hoi there,

First of all, thx ahead for reading through all this :)

Building a new pc during Black Friday even if there won't be too many great deals as Black Friday isn't that big in Europe(or Netherlands).

I will be exchanging some parts from my list depends on sale.

Not gonna savage any parts from my current setup, cuz It was my first pc which I build myself(in 2014) and wanna keep it that way.

Having some doubt here and there, so some advices would be very grateful.

Will highlight those parts which I'm not sure about in RED

Budget:   1500€(±200) without monitors

Location: Netherlands

Usage:     Gaming(mainly FPS)

Note: Pcpartpickers doesn't include every available seller in Netherlands, so I changed some prices manually

Here is my list:

PCPartPicker Part List

CPU: Intel Core i7-9700K 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor  (€395.00 @ Azerty)

CPU, GPU, CPU Cooler and MOBO:

The reason I went with ASUS is cuz there is a cashback sales currentlly in Benelux, which I could get 90€ back for mobo+cpu, and 30€ for gpu (ROG series only).

I really like the big air cooler and Noctua has released the black version, so it's a no brainer for me :)

  • Not really sure if ROG GPU are worth it, also considering some other 2070s like, asus dual/msi ventus etc. Will I notice any differences?

Memory, Storage:

Liking the TridentZ's look and thinking 3200 is good enought, but suggestions are welcome

  • 250GB for OS and steam(game on secondary drive) itself seems bit too wasteful, should I get something like 128GB?
  • Should I go for m.2 NVME too for my secondary drive as some 1TB NVME drive aren't that expensive?

Power Supply:

  • Is 650w enough or I need 750w?(424w estimated on pcpartpicker)

Case, Case fans:

Did a little bit research for cases, choosed NR600 cuz mesh front for airflow and minimalist design.

Looking at Noctua NF-S12A and NF-F12 fans right now, F12 is for heatsink/radiators and S12a for case as I learned on their site.

  • 65€ for a case seems bit cheap, but review on GamesrNexus are positive, will I run into any major flaw?
  • Static pressure(NF-F12) or Air flow(NF-S12A) fans for NR600 mesh front?
  • Other suggestions for case are welcome. Airflow > minimalist design > other.

Monitor:

I'm wildly open on monitor for suggestion as I really can't make up my mind,

Panel doesn't really matter for me.

  • Budget:                               300-450€
  • Refresh Rate:                     144hz minimal
  • G-sync:                               With G-sync or G-syn compatible
  • Input lag/Response time:  1ms will be great

Again, thx for reading through all of this.

As you see, I'm almost on my budget.

But would like to save a couple bucks here and there if it won't noticeably effect the performance.

Just seeing this many Samsung drives sends shivers down my spine

comparing between the Strix and mid range models like the EVGA XC Ultra, MSI Gaming X and Palit Jetstream, no. Comparing to cheap models like the Zotac mini, EVGA Black Gaming and MSI Ventus you will hear if not see the difference.

Of course with sales you might as well go overkill with the Strix

SSD capacity is linearly related to performance and exponentially related to lifespan, so larger SSDs, even if you dont use half of it, is preferred. They get better value up to 1TB anyways

Depends

Enough, unless you plan on sticking a 2080ti and 9900k in the future

Might find things like bending metal on the case, as far as performance or even durability's concerned you shouldnt see any difference. Just dont throw it around like a plush toy

Was comparing it between with MSI Armor OC/Gaming X, Asus Dual Evo OC as a step down, will might just go with Strix with 35€ cash back.

Yeah, but seems chromax series doesn't has A12, only F12 or S12, will look into Corsair and other brand :)

that's a relief ,is it still enough for overclocking both CPU and GPU?

Sounds good, was also looking at other cases, like Corsair 220T/275R Air Flow etc, any suggestion round round 100€?

I only count overclocked power draws, that's why you spend this much for an unlocked system right?

Tho it seems like past-me forgot to insert Ryzen ad in there

Meshify C/S2? I know there's also the Phanteks P400A but that has the same bendy metal problem as the NR600.

Nice, big relief?

I did looked into 3rd Ryzen with x570 board too, but the cashback deals really made me went Intel

And also, want be a intel "fanboy" once in my life before changing ?

Here is the site Tweakers we use to compare the price in Netherland
