I have never experienced anything over a 60hz monitor, and since I have been gaming more fps games lately, I want to try a 144hz.

Currently I have a really budget 1440p IPS 27 inch monitor (60hz)

Since I don't want to spend too much money on a new monitor, I think I would need to go with a 1080p monitor. Since I would be going for a 1080p, 27 inch would probably be too big, so I'm mainly looking for something around 24 inch. I would also probably be needing to step from IPS to a a TN panel.

I hope going from 1440p to 1080p won't be too much of a problem. I guess it helps that the new monitor will be smaller than my current monitor.

I don't have a powerful GPU either. Got a GTX 1060 (6GB) but I do get 90-100 fps playing modern warfare at 1440p. Considering not great fps, 144hz would still be worth it?

I might upgrade my GPU in the future

Last thing: considering how expensive G-sync monitors are, is there a cheaper way to get rid of screen tare and not sacrifice input lag? Trying to a avoid using V-sync and fast sync, even though I'm currently using fast sync.

I don't really have a budget. I just don't want to spend $1000 on a monitor, but at the same time I don't want to purchase a poor monitor that will disappoint me. Basically looking for a good value monitor.

I'm located in Norway and will be buying from Norway. Please suggest a monitor and I will check if it's available here.

Thank you
