I'm in the market for a new 49 inch monitor, and I was initially going to ask which one was my best bet with gsync, but I saw the compatible master thread so I'm now under the impression that it doesn't matter, and freesync monitors are on the table too, correct me if I'm wrong on that.

So if you guys could help me out, what's the best option out there? I mostly play league of legends, but I do mess around with fps games from time to time, and generally have discord and browser windows on my second monitor. Also I'm running a GTX 1060 6gb, so let me know if I'm gonna need to upgrade to use one of these please. Thanks in advance!

I am looking in to one of these myself so I will share my research with you.

G-Sync: It can be a bit hit and miss with freesync so look up the particular one you want and see if it has been tested. I am having a bitch of a time trying to find some one who has tested the 1440p Samsung 49"

Gaming: Look up what games you play and what they support. I am looking at one of these for productivity focus then gaming second but I know some games don't play well with this aspect ratio one that comes to mind is PUBG that actually stretches the image a little. It's the price you pay when dev's don't put in support that much not all that shocking when you consider there are....what?....5 of these aspect ratio monitors?

Graphics card. It depends on what monitor you want to get. If you get one of the 1080p ones you will be fine it's not different than two 27" 1080p monitors. It's if you get one of the 1440p ones it's gonna hurt and I would want to get a bigger card.
