I could find only 4 am4 motherboard with those though, the price is correct with 16gb + the CPU :)

https://fr.pcpartpicker.com/product/z3rG3C/gigabyte-motherboard-ga970ads3p what do you thonk about this board? they say its not bad, and I found boards here ranging from 40€ to 60€ even with cpus included(one had an fx6350) + 16gb of ram would be again around 40-50€ and that would be perfect for me

So I want to make use of my sata hdds and I want them to be in one unit so that I don't have to power more pcs if I want to access my data. I am searching for a mobo with at least 6 sata ports, like 2 PCI ports for raid controllers, fully buffered RAM(possibly ddr2, cuz' that's cheap here(I live in Romania)), and it would be great if it would not have a proprietary form factor. Thanks in advance!

Don't you want something more recent ? Do you have a CPU in mind ?

I have a few lga 775 CPUs that I could use, but they are pretty cheap around here so it's not a big deal

I would like something pretty cheap, it doesnt necessarily need to be lga 775 , it must have at least 1PCI slot for a sata raid card, so that I can use more than 6 of my drives(I've got at least 10 that I would like to use)

This motherboard have it all ;) and is more recent with one of the cheapest CPU with integrated graphics. Otherwise you could try a NAS but it's expensive.

you mean the msi? it doesn't have a PCI slot, the hard part is the PCI slot for the raid card and the memory because I want at least 16 GBs but I dont want to break the bank(4GB DDR2 modules cost a lot here if you can even find one(for example: V7 4GB DDR2 800MHz V764004GBD costs 85$ which would take total costs to 340$) and it wouldn't even be that good) but fully buffered dimms like these Samsung 2Rx4 PC2-5300F-555-11-E0 cost from 7$ to max. 20$ which makes it a really good choice in my opinion compared to those

This one for example ?

PCI-E x16 Slots

1

PCI-E x8 Slots

0

PCI-E x4 Slots

0

PCI-E x1 Slots

3

PCI Slots

3

SATA 3 Gb/s

6

I've looked at a very similar one here, but the problem again is with the memory... to get the full 16 GBs I would have to spend 340$ and I don't have that much money

I have a few that have different capacities but I wont put those in the raid, I have 4 of the same capacities and thats the total ammount that the raid card can handle, so I wont have any problems with that

It looks good, be careful though because it's DDR3 ram ;)
