Insert a needle or a paperclip  in that hole between the TEAC text and the led. Push a bit and the door should release, and you can open the door fully by carefully pulling on the door..

The problem could be mechanical, not drivers or software.

Some optical drives use a rubber band to connect motor to another wheel/cog that opens the door or pulls it in ... that rubber band can break or weaken and no longer have enough friction to open up.

Other mechanisms use tiny plastic wheels with teeth ... those teeth can break due to age and then the motor simply spins and doesn't actually push out the door.

Other mechanisms use a two set process, where the first step is for some motor to lower the insides a bit and release the disc from the motor that spins it, and then a second step is releasing the door.

and very rarely, the actual motor that moves the tray breaks down, as you can see in this video

Your best option is to actually open the unit ... remove it from the computer, un screw it, check the internals.

Make sure you open the door with a paper clip or something first, because you can't open it up completely without doing it manually
