Hi! First of all, sorry for my bad english. I hope this is the good topic.

My problem started 2-3 months ago. I bought a 120GB SSD for main OS. Installed Windows 10 and first everything worked fine. Then the OS started randomly freeze, or multiple type of BSOD occure. /volmgr,clock watchdog timeout/
I thought OK, let's just install an older  OS, so I installed Windows 7 pro (then home). Again, first everything fine then BSOD-s and freezes. I went back to the hardware store and get a new SSD. Today I Re-Installed a fresh Windows 10 1903 and the problem was here again. I readed somewhere that the 970 chipsets need the amd ahci driver, not the stock microsoft so I installed that. Nothing special for like 2 hours straight gaming, then a BSOD: thread stuck in device driver.

The strange thing is, when I'm using windows 7 on my WD 1TB HDD it's just OK. No freeze, no BSOD. What sould I do now? ?

Specs:
CPU: Fx-8150 (Stock clock) (I tried overclock, underclock, disabling cores)
RAM: 10Gb DDR3 Ram 8g+2g (I tried another 8 gig stick in different slots)
Motherboard : Asus m5a97 le r2.0 motherboard (970 chipset - latest bios)
VGA : Radeon RX-470 4gb  (I tried a GT-1030 low profile card too)
PSU: Chieftec GPS-500A8 500w  (I tried another brand new FSP 650w)
SSD: PNY CS900  (Latest firmware, also second brand new ssd, I changed it)
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 3.5 1TB 7200rpm 64MB SATA3

I often see SSD compatibility lists at motherboard manufacturers' websites. If there are compatibility lists, it means that there may be incompatibilities, maybe in your case.
