At the beginning i was aiming for the corsair XD5 but thought was abandoned after the first touch on a sample. The Reservoir feels so cheap as if the wall will break under any minor impact.

After hours of browsing i narrow the scope to 3 options

#1 Thermaltake D5 Reservoir combo, the least cost.

#2 Singularity Reservoir +  ToP + PWM D5 + cover

#3 singularity Reservior + singularity Top + Aquacomputer D5 Next

The aquacomputer D5 next is non PWM, but the cover is a independent control unit integrated with flow rate and temp sensor, and...... well German made. Some review says it is an almost flawless model. How significant is that against a PWM.

If you want something that has some weight to it and feels solid, take a look at XSPC D5 Photon.  Its a thick glass tube res with a D5 vario 5 setting pump.

Glass is too risky for me ha. I am bring the parts with me in a suit case back to Canada. I was actually thinking about the HeatKiller, though their inlet port is not on the top and i have to change my loop layout

The Heatkiller Tube D5 also has a glass tube, though it is a pretty thick one. There's also a multiport top available for it, or, if you buy it from Watercool directly, you can get it with the top preinstalled at no additional cost.

Aside from being dropped directly onto a very hard surface from height, they are actually stronger than the acrylic tubes. less likely to crack from weight put on them during transport, and they dont scratch or stain.

I finally go with Acetal, upon realize that Acrylic are very susceptible from cracking

If you actually have the money for SC stuff I’d get it.

Ek stuff is more my style and price range.

Aside from that I’d use any d5. Really didn’t mind the looks and layout of the new Corsair stuff.
