It's called SATA Y Cable.

In the old days, boards will provided power adapters along with the SATA cables, but it's mostly molex to SATA. Don't know if they still do that now.

That SATA connector is a male, where is that from, and where are you plugging into?

There is no female SATA Y cables or splitters.

Not like that, it has Sata 6 pin connectors that plugs into power box but not a 15 pin Sata cord

So where did you put the modular cable that turns that 6-pin into multiple SATA power connectors?

It should've come with your PSU.

I believe that upHere controller is from this

https://www.amazon.com/upHere-Wireless-Adjustable-Radiators-RGB123-3/dp/B078LWV8PZ

Those fans are independent with the motherboard, it uses the included remote to change its colors. And the controller uses the power directly from your power supply

I have had this case for 7 years and can’t find the name of it so that’s long gone but I don’t mind buying an adapter for that, the fan needs to plug in with a SATA male and I need a female SATA cable that will plug into a SATA 6 pin into the power box or a 15 pin femal - a 6 pin SATA

Okay... what's the name of your PSU or 'power box' as you call it?

That SATA 6-pin is a modular connector and when you bought it, it should've come with the very adapter you're asking for.

There is no 6 pin to SATA power adapter. The only 1 there is, is SATA to 6 pins, and that's only for graphic cards. Not for other SATA devices.

Sorry but you're making no sense in what you're trying to connect. Disconnect everything and look at it carefully to see where you might have plugged something in reverse.

If your 7 year old case has front panel eSATA, there SATA cable from the cases goes to the SATA port on your board. and power is supplied by your power supply.

The 6-pin SATA he's referring is the PSU connector labeled SATA on his modular PSU.

He's missing his SATA power cable.

Then OP can get the SATA Y cable or contact his psu company and see if they sell extras.
