Cooler Upgrade from i5-6500 to i7-6700 non-k?

Not really, the 6700 is tamable with the stock cooler especially after undervolting.

I put an artctic freezer 33 on my wife's 8700 and it's completely silent and runs at full speed.

 

Great for like $24 I paid for it

Oh yea, just about anything is better than the stock cooler. 

That'll work great.
