How hot should this i5 configuration run ?

Since my PC was transported with a car several hundred kilometers, I thought that the big Noctua cooler might have become loose from the car vibrations.

I didn't want to reseat the cooler again, so I didn't touch anything on it and just tried to get it hot with AIDA64 .

On Idle I'm getting 32-36C and stability test in Aida gets it up to 72-78.

I'm just curious if those are the temperatures I should be getting.

Cpu is i5 9600k with a Noctua U12S and I have one 140mm Noctua redux and one 120mm Noctua redux exhaust fan.

Fan curves in Bios are set to standard.

I'd say those are pretty good! Do you do any gaming, because I would test a gaming benchmark or just play some games. Those would really show any problems, or just run Prime95 to make sure. If you search it up, those temps are pretty normal. Try undervolting or putting some good thermal paste on the cpu if you want to get it lower? Otherwise, I'd say you are good to go! Is it overclocked?

From experience. If you have tighten Noctua as tight as possible, it won't move from such small thing as car vibrations.

Thanks for the reply, I think if it had moved, the temps would have jumped much higher than 75C

Why? You don't achieve anything by doing that. Only if you plan to switch orientation, but each time you don't change paste, it becomes bit worse than what it was. You won't notice difference when its done first time, but second time there will be changes.

Only if the cooler wasn't properly seated in the first place.

That being said, your temps seem normal.

Were they lower before?
