Dont get the extra 4GB in this case. You'll only get 8GB of dual channel and 12GB of single channel, which has half the memory performance.

So as the title says, I have two choices and I don't know which one I should get. Currently, I am using 2x4GB at 2666Mhz, dual channel. I want of upgrading my ram, but I don't know what should I do. I can either upgrade my ram to 16GB at 3200Mhz (2x8), or upgrade the size to 20GB (1x4, 1x16) at 2666Mhz. I know that 16GB is quite good for gaming and such, but I don't know if the extra 4GB is worth it, as I do stream a lot and I have many background tasks. Below is my dxdiag, if someone wants to know my specs. This computer is a laptop, not a desktop.
