I've finally nailed down my first gaming PC build and I'm wondering what the average, general process is for buying parts. Do you just click "Buy" on the PC Part Picker list? Do you hunt around different websites or manufacturers? I'd just like to be sure that I'm getting a good price, buying from a reputable company, and getting the highest quality of the product I ordered. In some cases, I've read about how some parts (CPUs, maybe?) have varying quality even within the same model. Is there a specific method to ensure you get the best quality possible?

depending on where you live, there are other websites that compare prices for components. For example in the UK, you can make your build on pcpartpicker and then look for them on pricespy and you can usually find better deals from more obscure websites.

Im pretty sure pcpartpicker has a price alert feature. if it drops below a set price (which you can change), it will alert you so you can buy if you want.

in my eyes, those are the regular prices for those products and it shouldnt go any higher and could go on sale at anytime.

you can also see the pxpartpicker price trend to help
