Can Grammarly be allowed in this Forum?

Grammarly is not compatible with the editor on the forum, and allowing it was causing a number of posts to break. If the Grammarly team fix it, I would be more than happy to switch it back on, but until then it is not worth the weird brokenness in a bunch of posts (and corresponding bug reports that are sent to me).

 

Most browsers have built in spell checking these days (certainly Firefox and Chrome do), and while their implementations do not cover as many potential issues as Grammarly they still do a very effective job of spell checking.

Don't you have a spellcheck on your browser? Most of them do and should've told you that you made an obvious mistake there.

Doesn't both Chrome and Firefox have a plugin for it? Can't you just use that or am I missing something?

It breaks too much stuff. You can use browsers built-in or on mobile whatever keyboard you use.

Yes and I have it installed, they disabled it, what I said in the title. Apprantly it breaks stuff...

It dosent auto correct, you have to manually click and choose, idk about premium but I'm pretty sure there might be a turn off button for the autocorrect feature.

Chrome on Pc dosent have that, it shows a red underline "image.png.a6224da2a3bcebc88dd1c3df60dd9083.png", but when I right-click nothing happens even with ctrl+right-click

Can't say for Chrome, I use Firefox and Opera. With Firefox I get selection. I think Opera does same, but that's only my secondary browser.

 

E: actually you might need to disable addon for forums to get built-in working. If that's option. If it isn't, complain to Gramnarly.

Grammarly is also not fantastic so far as spell checkers go, if im being honest.

 

It is GREAT for being simple to use and free for non native speakers, but its corrections are often either ill advised, incorrect, or otherwise not useful. Not to mention not academic in most cases, for when that matters. The best spellcheck is your brain, full stop.

Brands I wholeheartedly reccomend (though do have flawed products): Apple, Razer, Corsair, Asus, Gigabyte, bequiet!, Noctua, Fractal, GSkill (RAM only)
