At a recent Asus IoT conference in Korea, aside from new servers and small form-factor PC, a slide was shown to include details of the upcoming Ice lake-s that operates on the same architecture as cooper lake but with a node shrink as well as some new information regrading the next generation of Optane memory. Source is in Korean so this translation may be sketchy.

Asus was created by four engineers in the late 1980s. In addition to basic motherboards, the company has created and led trends in a variety of IT computing devices, including monitors, graphics cards, server and workstation routers, and laptops. They have received awards from the world's most respected IT companies, including Fortune and Forbes. In line with the era of ubiquitous computing, ASUS has added a lineup of ASUS IoT products to computers, laptops and IOT-related devices.

Lastly, Intel's explanation of Optane DC persistent memory was followed. Optane memory is NAND flash-based storage that differs between processor and DDR system memory. In appearance, it looks a lot like DDR4 memory. In particular, Optane DC memory shows a significant performance improvement on a server that uses a lot of memory, that is, a dedicated server for a database in a data center. In particular, when a server is physically down and rebooted, all data remains intact until the server is down due to the characteristics of non-volatile memory.

▲ Overview of ASUS Control Center

This software technology allows a single main server to manage and maintain the overall resources of a computer on a client system. Asus has a separate naming, CSM, for motherboards and mini PCs, which can be used for free when purchased.

As control is centrally controlled through the Control Center, software and firmware can be upgraded to prevent the use of the USB ports of each system to maintain security. The client-side registry can also be edited. The controller panel available on the server supports a total of nine multilingual languages, including Korean.

▲ UI composition of Asus Control Center

You can manage your company's assets more proactively, including more computer and digital resources in the office. Remote client creation can be added to allow remote computer access. This can be generated and activated with a QR code on the ASUS Controller Center activation card. This software enables more efficient hardware software management within the company. It supports easy BIOS (firmware) update to support this, and it is also possible to install and uninstall separate software used in-house. And to give the company a group-like feel, ACC customers can put their own logos.

To prevent the external export of the most powerful data, you can also disable the client's registry editing and USB ports as a whole.

Even in a mobile environment, you can use all the features of ACC with a smartphone. It also supports connections via VPN. Asus provides a server solution free of charge. First of all, if the client has a product name of CSM, the motherboard is a licensed product of the client and can be used free of charge when the motherboard is purchased. In addition, ACC Enterprise products require a separate license fee.

Nothing on that slide is Ice lake-S, it's Ice Lake-SP and it was already known that this was going to use 10nm+.

https://en.wikichip.org/wiki/intel/microarchitectures/ice_lake_(server)

Ice Lake-S was also already known to be using 10nm+ as well, and there are products already on the market be it mobile only right now though.

https://en.wikichip.org/wiki/intel/microarchitectures/ice_lake_(client)

The new information is how many cores these server CPUs are supposed to have, 38, other than that I don't see anything that relates to desktop at all?
