Hey all, i have had a Buffalo linkstation for a while and recently transferred my games too it. My steam folder now being on it made me wonder if there was a way i could have a Virtual Machine on there so i can constantly keep it updated. But still use the file system as if it were an extra drive on my PC too. That way it utilises my PC's resources for Games etc.

I wouldn't trying using that for storing steam game data, the bandwidth for the controller would give very slow performance if you plan to run games from there.

Also these things are prone to fail, what model linkstation have you got ... I had one with the single drive and it died on me.
