So by this Saturday I will have one of these two systems, one is intel and the other amd. This build is purely for gaming at 1080p 75hz - 144hz depending on the game, I have a R7 3700x build already that I use for productivity and other things that would benefit from the extra cores. This gaming build is for my younger brother who only ever plays games on my old laptop, normally I would go for a 2600 but he recently bought a 144hz monitor so I threw together a build thinking purely high fps and now I'm stuck between these two builds. He mainly plays Skyrim with lots of texture mods, minecraft, the witcher 3 and lots of f2p titles.

I have an old r5 1600 to update the bios if need be but as you can see the ryzen build cost basicaly the same ( actually cost me £6 more lol ). The cpu cooler is over kill but I want it anyway as I might take it and give him my corsair h100x
