Undervolting Nvidia, temperature, power, methods.

Hello

I found a recent test of RTX2070Super vs. 5700XT GPU, where undervolting was covered (ComputerBase, in German)

I am impressed by the efficiency of the Nvidia card when undervolted. How can one do it for NVidia cards? I know MSI afterburner, but what is the precise method (ie.: CTRL+F will display the voltage-frequency curve, to fine-adjust the points. or is there a simpler method, for instance, just setting up -10% voltage?)

I currently don't have Afterburner installed, but is there anyone, who had been undervolting Nvidia GPU via afterburner, and has experiences with impromevement in power consumption and temperatures?

Any input is welcome. Thanks in advance anyone for the response.

:)

changing the voltage slider just changes the offset so if the card wanted to, it will justdump more power to reach a specific frequency so it wont really do anything.

changing the curve to be flat at the end will force a maximum voltage therefore reducing the voltage needed to reach a specific frequency

okay. But how did the authors of the article reached that impressive drop in power consumption via afterburner? With limiting power and voltages, or is there other method for this?

optimized oc on a lower power limit will do the job

thanks. And what do you think of editing the voltage-frequency curve? : ) worth it for the lower temps?
