Hydro X custom wc with MSI Z370 SLI plus (LGA1151)

just a quick question:

i have a msi z370 sli plus motherboard with a i7-8700k

i wanted to do a custom watercooling with the corsair hydro x series, but the configurator on corsairs' homepage gives me the warning that the MSI Z370 SLI plus (LGA1151) is not compatible with any cpu block they have in stock.

im currently  using a h115i pro without any issues in mounting.

why wouldn't it be compatible? can't find any information about this.

I don't know why but you should be fine. I don't see anything that would cause issues. The mount Is basically like there old aio mounts. Unless it's something with the size of the standoffs for the mount.

just tried it yesterday, looks like the metal ring of the cpu block is fairly close to some transistors, but there is no problem mounting the block
