i5 8600k vs i7 8700k

Ok so a few days ago it was between the 8700k and the 9700k but now its between these two because the i5 is £100 cheaper. I am leaning toward the i5 for obvious reasons but i want to get a second opinion on the matter.

8600k. Or, really, an i5 8400, because you won't see a difference so why not save the money.

Okay, doesn’t make sense getting a 8600 over a 3600 but alright. 
 

but if it has to be one go with the I5 jf it’s for 1080p60

I see that you have an 8700k, is there any reason that you would choose the 8600k now?

The deciding factor is that i don't have the bracket for it anymore so i would have to get a new cooler and i only got that this year. another is that i know intel and want to stay with them fro the time being, there are many more but i cannot remember them off the  top of my head

I would but im guessing that it cannot be overclocked and i would like do that at some point

You seem to be wanting to save money, and your focus is 1080p/60.  

 

You don't need an 8700K for that.

Why? You won't notice a difference at 1080p60, and if you don't plan to buy a better monitor in the next year, then you might as well upgrade to something better in the future anyway.

Okay so i am more than happy to announce that i am making the transition to AMD, i have just found the parts i need in a draw to use my cooler with an AMD CPU I am most ecstatic right now!!!
