Hey!

This is my first post and I am very new to PC software / PC gaming.

I stupidly bought a PC off of Amazon without checking the spec's properly and was greeted with this monstrosity.

Now that I have a slight understanding of PC software I realize how bad these components really are for what I paid.

Here are the specs:

CPU = AMD A10-9700 (4 cores, 4 threads+

RAM = 4x2 GB DDR4

Motherboard = PRIME A320M-K AM4 (Chipset Model = K15 IMC)

"Graphics" = AMD Radeon R7 (Integrated) [Approx. Total Memory: 10444MB, VRAM: 495MB]

OS = Standard W10 64-bit

I am looking to upgrade the CPU, Motherboard and will obviously have to buy a graphics card.

If someone would be willing to help, that would be great! And if I don't reply to you on this my Discord Tag is Pyrcrow#4460

Thanks, Have a nice day!

You could toss a CPU into that existing motherboard, it may be A320 but it would still be fine for something moderate. You can get a Ryzen 5 1400 for a great price on eBay.

Also we would need to know some details about the power supply before we advise a graphics card upgrade.

Also make sure to quote people or use @Zando Bob so we see your responses

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

@Fasauseome Power supply is a generic 500W

@stormseeker9 Cheers I'll take a look, I mainly attempt to play Rust (If you have played or know of the requirements for the game you will know that doesn't go well) but I would be fine with "good" resolution and like 60FPS. Also power supply is mentioned above

Make sure the @Stormseeker9 becomes orange like this.

"Generic 500W doesn't tell us much, it certainly doesn't bode well for your projected goal of a 1070

Honestly, you're better off selling it and starting from scratch.

Once you replace the motherboard and CPU you've basically scrapped the entire system except for RAM, PSU and case...though I imagine the case isn't that great, the PSU would probably warrant replacing anyway, and that leaves you with RAM, which I'm betting is lower speed.

Amazon is usually great with returns. If you still have time, return it and wait for Black Friday.

And now I look at it a 1060 would probably be much better, in the sense that I could run it better

A used 1060 3GB model from eBay for around $100 or less would be a safe bet

@Fasauceome Ok I have a look for one

Also, consider an RX 470 or 570, similar performance when run with a 6 pin PCIe connector. They're usually cheaper

Wouldn’t be a nice experience on rust tho.. and would definitely suggest grabbing a GPU with at least 6GB

@Fasauceome I have found these two for what I believe is an alright price:

Wouldn’t be running the 3600 on your current board. Would be a limiting factor in performance.  As others have suggested, perhaps just try and sell the system for I dunno £150-250ish? Not sure what you paid.

add that to your existing 400 and you’ll be able to get a much better system already I’d think.

Hey!

Cheers to all of you who posted it has really helped!

I have decided to pretty much rebuild the PC using the components below and the remaining PSU and my friend gave me a random Corsair 16x1GB Ram stick which I am ordering a second off (refer to Image)

Once again cheers to all the guys that came and answered and that helped the most @Stormseeker9 and @Fasauceome.

Here is the new order

If you can stretch £17 maybe this board would be better. Has much better Vrm and chipset cooling than the pro4.
