yeah, they called it an octa-core, its was more like a quad core with some doubled parts and HT, they lost the lawsuit.

Paid out a couple million dollars, apparently its going to be around 30-50$ per person after they pay lawyers, depending on how many people cash out. It's only valid for ppl in california and for people who bought it off the AMD website.

 

Use the "free" money to upgrade your rig! (or do other stuff, not really my business what you do with your money)

Update: One of those cards just showed up at my door. Apparently if you're a pleb who purchased a mere 5 CPUs you still don't need to provide proof of purchase to get in on this.

If it's only for CA then why would they send me a card if I live in St. Louis MO?
