What VR headset to get?

Hey so! Question to you guys. My friend is getting me a VR headset, the Oculus Rift S, and I wanna make sure about something. Is it okay to get? Is there any versions coming out in the next month or so that you guys would recommend waiting for? Their budget would be that and i'd wanna make sure its best for the dollar pwp

as for everything: it depends...

  • What are you planning to do / play with it? There are indeed some games / programs that support one but not the other and vice versa.
  • Is you PC capable of properly driving a VR headset?
  • Have you got enough open floor space to get into room scaling / moving around?

Make sure you're really sure you want one.

I early adopted on the HTC Vive and it spends most of the time collecting dust tbh...

The valve index is the best on the market but you pay for that
