Hi, first time pc builder here. I have tinkered with PCs a lot upgrading etc and thought I would give it a go building next build.

So recently built a PC and cant get it to boot. All the lights come on but then it turns off after about 7 seconds. The dram ez debug light stays white the whole time, cpu debug light flashes on start up then once before turning off. The ram RGB was lighting up last night but now it isn’t. I have reseated the cpu 3 times, applied new thermal paste. I have checked all connections and reconnected everything 3 times. I have tried resetting CMOS ,tried starting up with one stick in slot 2, also tried both sticks in slots 3&4 aS someone suggested on another site, DRAM light on the mobo is solid white without the RAM inserted. The Dimm slot 2 looks to be damaged in the middle near the middle the plastic that separates the two connections has broken slightly and looks to be wedged, I tried to put the ram in the wrong way when reseating without noticing  (absolute noob mistake)  I’m thinking this is most likely the issue? I have also found that my specific ram is not listed on the Msi website as being tested. Any advice appreciated, very disappointed in the way my first build has turned out!

Can't really tell from the photo if you've done any serious damage.  The DRAM lights up when RAM has failed or isn't detected.  Seeing as how you are required to use slot 2 on this motherboard you may be up Schitz creek.  I'd look closer at that slot and see if any contacts are bent or damaged.   You may need to start an RMA.
