35w speaker in a 10w, 25ohm woofer?

EDIT: I just found out that the impedance is 5ohm, not 25ohm

I want to replace the faulty speaker in my woofer which is making a cracking noise. The original speaker says it is 10w 5ohm (printed on speaker). However, I am unable find one on Amazon with the same rating. Is it ok to fit a 35w one without the risk of burning my house down? Also, does the impedance matter? Thanks.

If you get a woofer with a 4 ohm or 6 ohm impedance, a 35 watt driver will be totally fine. The impedance does matter to a certain extent, just don't go under 4 ohm and you will be fine.

LTT's Resident Porsche fanboy and nutjob Audiophile.

Main speaker setup is now;

Mini DSP SHD Studio -> 2x Mola Mola Tambaqui DAC's (fed by AES/EBU, one feeds the left sub and main, the other feeds the right side) -> 2x Neumann KH420 + 2x Neumann KH870

(Having a totally seperate DAC for each channel is game changing for sound quality)
