Military Video Idea

I was just doing some research on getting a network/server set-up onboard the Canadian warship in which I serve on. We tend to sail for sometimes months at a time and this can be weeks without even seeing land, this usually means no internet and no cell reception.

 

On ship there is an area that the majority of the crew uses to unwind, relax, eat, watch movies and play video games; this area we call the "cave". Our current set-up is some older TVs with a old computer with several external HDs to watch movies and TV shows. I was looking into upgrading this with a NAS or Server and using several NUC's for the TVs. Then maybe looking at some gaming stuff and surround as well.

 

I am sure this is a longshot but we do have a budget to pay for it depending on the price and it would make for a very interesting video idea, we could of course show you some of the equipment and complex computers we have on board provided they are unrestricted and get permission to release a video about some of the kit we have and take you guys on a walkthrough. Which would be a very interesting video on your channel.
