1440p, 144Hz, G-Sync (compatible) - need suggestions

Well hello there,

as said in the title i am looking for a 1440p, 144Hz monitor with G-Sync (or G-Sync compatible) for max. 500€ in Europe (Germany). I run a Gigabyte RTX 2070 super Gaming OC with an i9 9900k so i really need a decent monitor to be able to enjoy the vastly better performance compared to my old rig - i have 2 24" 60Hz monitors atm (one is a monitor/TV combo and really old now) and not getting at least one decent monitor for gaming would be a shame.

 

So far i have found the Dell S2716DG on cyber week sale at alternate.de for 449€, it has overall pretty good reviews and tests, but i am not completely sure since it is also said to have not the best picture quality.

 

I want a decent and balanced experience. Doesn't have to be the best of its class in any point, but i also don't want any crippling weak points in its performance.

You can just about get a 1440p 100-120hz ultra wide for that budget though. In the US they're only $400

Not all free-sync monitors will work with GSync, but I can say my Freesync only panel which is not verified by NVidia but works flawlessly.

Brands I wholeheartedly reccomend (though do have flawed products): Apple, Razer, Corsair, Asus, Gigabyte, bequiet!, Noctua, Fractal, GSkill (RAM only)

You can enable free-sync from any monitor in nvidia's software though

 

how good it is still depends on the monitor, but most should be fine.

Thats what I meant yeah. You also need a 10 series card or newer.

I feel so bad for everyone who bought a 970/980 over a 390 man, missed out on a lot of features over the years.

I really want a 144Hz, but thanks. Not sure about ultrawide, never tried one so far.

Your selection on that part picker is kind of slim, but that one should overclock, and in the games that can actually use 21:9 it's nice to have

I recommend LG 27GL850. It has another great benefit: IPS panel but ofcourse slow response time.

You can actually find alot of choices within your budget in the nvidia page

The Monitor you recommended is unfortunately around 580€ here. I also found it to have 1ms response time, where does your claim for "slow response time" come from?

I mean the average IPS panel screen have slower response time around 4ms. If TN panel you'll get 1ms easily. So if you're only gaming, i recommend a TN panel. Cheaper with higher specs than IPS panel.
