PC never uses above 7.9 GB of RAM

generally games will never use more than 8gb or RAM because it does not need that much memory to operate.

Try a rendering program thats designed to utilise RAM. or open a massive amount of tabs in chrome.

Oh, it goes over 8 when I do that. But it's weird that it's stuck at exactly 7.9 in games.

anything above that amount probably is done by pagefile

 

also most programs have a ram usage limit set and swipes data that isnt used anymore

BF1 for example. Up to 12GB.
