Hey,

Want to upgrade my CPU for max 100 bucks. (FM2-A75MA-P33 Mobo)

I found a used X4 760K for 55 bucks and thought I could roll with that. I know it's ancient tech, but my mobo has yet to fail me in any way. It's my first mobo and I'd feel reluctant to get rid of it.

..Unless I can find a used mobo and a used cpu that perform better for 100bucks (Using an RX 470) that seems like a good deal..right?

I would suggest to get something like a 2200G or 2600 Ryzen and a cheap board. The 2200G is 50% faster then the X4 760K and the 2600 is 75% faster, you can pair them with the cheapest board you can get used like a Gigabyte DS3H or an Asrock HDV or Steel legend. You will also need RAM.

Edit: For around 150-175$ you can get a 2200G, Gigabyte B450 DS3H and RAM sticks all in used condition, if you search more then i did you will probably get those for cheaper.

Main System: Ryzen 2700, Asus Crosshair VII Hero, EVGA GTX 1080ti SC, 970 EVO Plus NVMe, Crucial Ballistix 3200mhz CL14, CM H500, CM ML240L cpu cooler.

Second System: Ryzen 2400G, Gigabyte B450 DS3H, RX 580 Nitro+, Kingston A400 SSD, Team T-Force 3200mhz CL15

If it ain't overclocked it ain't good...
