Asus Rog maximus ix formula Z270 ethernet speeds?

i have a Asus Rog maximus ix formula z270 and im trying to figure out the wifi speed of the ethernet port. In the "change network adapter" settings it says that the ethernet port speed is 100mbit per seconds but on pcpartpicker it says 1x1000mbit per second. which one is right?

it supports up to 1000Mbps, as the Intel I219V ethernet card is rated at 1Gbps

 

your lower connection speed is probably caused by the router or the cable.

yeah its a 25ft cable and the router is capable of up to 600mbps

what about individual connectors?

Yup, the ethernet ports on that thing runs at either 10Mbps or 100Mbps, not 1000Mbps

The other question is how fast your internet speed you pay for is. That could also be the issue.
