I currently have a 28" 4k samsung and a 27" 1080p Dell

I'm looking to upgrade to nvidia surround or a budget friendly 1440p.

I've ordered a new power supply for the Samsung. since it stopped turning on a few months ago, but I'm not sure it will fix the problem.

My question for you all is, assuming I get the Samsung to work again, should I get another 27" dell? Or go ultrawide and sell the dell?

I'm currently playing strictly wow classic, which does support a huge variety of resolutions,  but I'm worried I'll get stuck with stretching if I go the surround route.

Any suggestions?

It doesn't support triple monitor set ups

Probably just stick with a 4k display

maybe go for one of the $400 1440p 100hz ultra wides at some point. Not sure how it supports 21:9 either though.

um yes it does? wow has supported multiple monitors in surround config for many many years. it's just a matter of fixing the FOV scale to alleviate the stretching.

have a look: https://www.reddit.com/r/Nostalrius/comments/41iw7c/field_of_view_fix_for_1121_pics_explanation/

NVIDIA even had a demo using a special driver or something that automatically corrected the image across the screens

i do kind of like the idea of having an ultrawide with another mon on top, but the price is what's really putting me off.

does anyone use a non-curved ultrawide display? how does it feel looking at the far ends of the screen?

I think you need something in the engine to really fix something like this, like what racing games have, or that nv surround tech that I don't think any games really used.

You can most likely find cheaper ultrawides, but they aren't going to be 100-120hz.

It's not much more expensive than getting 3 decent 1080p displays.

Depending on how many inputs your monitors has you might be able to set up a surround set up like I did just for testing there

I had 3/4 hooked up to a single 1080p display over multiple inputs. eyefinity used to work better for messing around like that.
