I have recently bought an ASUS VIVOBOOK 15 X512 laptop with Ryzen 5 3500u and VEGA 8 graphics. But I am not getting the same level of fps in games as compared to the benchmarks in YouTube videos. I have tried a lot but nothing happens......

Vega8 also has 2Gb ram dedicated to it through system ram... How do I remove that dedicated memory.

I think you have misunderstood something.

VEGA 8 is not discrete graphic card. It's an integrated GPU as in its embedded in the ryzen 5 2500u. So it has no memory of its own and the system dedicates some of its system ram to use for the gpu.

You probably hasveto lower the settings to get playable framerate. Vega 8 is like MX150, better than Intel HD620, but still a not very powerful GPU.

it might also help if you close all the unnecessary apps.

Why would you remove the dedicated RAM? If you are having performance issues, you would want to dedicate more RAM, not less.

It already has 3gb of shared memory. There is no need of allocating 2gb of extra dedicated memory. Plus it's performance is not even close to a mx130... But according to benchmarks it is close to MX150.

I know it's an integrated GPU. But it already has 3gb of shared memory. Their is no point dedicating 2gb memory to it. I have even checked the bios but there is no option to alter it ..... Plus it's performance is not even close to mx130... But according to benchmarks it should be close to mx150

It's a brand new laptop and it's performance is not even close to mx130 .... I don't know why
