Which AMD gpu for a triple 1440p setup

Girtablulu

Hi

I'd like to replace my 980ti with an AMD GPU but I'm not exactly sure which one I should buy. I don't want to throw out money of the window and have a GPU which isn't needed.

as said, my setup is a triple 1440p setup and I do mostly work stuff/watching movies. I do play games occasionally (middle screen) but nothing serious anymore as long as it's lag free I'm happy.

980 Ti should easily chomp through 1440p still, and if you're not gaming much anyways then is there really a need to upgrade?

I mean the only AMD GPU you can go with for it to be a worthy upgrade is the RX 5700XT but if you barely game I do think there's no reason to ditch the 980 Ti Just yet as well.

There is a known bug for the 5700 and XT for multiple displays. Not a good idea until AMD fixes it.

Toggling HDR may cause system instability during gaming when Radeon ReLive is enabled.

Stutter may be experienced when Radeon FreeSync is enabled on 240hz refresh displays with Radeon RX 5700 series graphics products.

Bear in mind that that problem will likely be fixed in the next release or two of the drivers.

I am running multiple displays and can confirm I would get a weird flicker coming out of standby trying to play games full screen.

A reboot fixes it. I wouldn't classify this problem as a reason to avoid the card.

I did just upgrade to 19.10.2 and the experience has been far more stable while toying with the AMD Overlay.

Also, I have been playing Metro Exodus on Ultra butter smooth.

The GPU has been working flawlessly since day two. I only have one display.
