How to connect 144hz monitor without thunderbolt 3

Hey there, I bought this laptop planning on using it day to day for studies and then be able to connect it to a monitor and keyboard and everything for gaming. It's a rog zephyrus gx531gs. It is not thunderbolt 3 capable so that's not an option. Would a docking station be able to circumvent this, or any other options for getting 144hz from a monitor?

I see an HDMI port on the website so I guess you can use that ?

Gotcha, so when I’m looking for the cable and monitor make sure that it’s 144hz hdmi capable? Is that hdmi 1.4?

It's not dictated by version number. Best to see section 5 here: https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/how-to-connect-to-a-120-hz-display.3268285/
