Building pc but nothing shows up on the screen.

PojanPullero

Hi,

I´m building my second pc and I ran into a problem. I set up everything as usually cpu in cooler in rams in gpu in ssd plugged in and all cables. Then boot up, lights light up, fans start nicely but screen doesnt detect signal. I have tried 2 sreens many cables different ports, nothing.

I ran out of ideas on why it won't work.

Any ideas how to fix?

Specs:

CPU: AMD ryzen 5 3600

GPU: Nvidia gtx 1660

Mobo: MSI MPG x570 gaming plus

PSU: Corsair RM650

RAM: Kingston hyperX fury DDR4 2666 MHz 16Gt

Since your motherboard have a diagnostic LED, look here:

Try reseating the gpu.

Make sure that everything is plugged in tight. Or look at the post code on the motherboard to see if it´s a bad post code. Look the code up on google to see what it is.

The light to dram lights up i went and got new rams exact same and still not working tried every slot

is it mobos ram slots that are broken now?

I have tried all pcie slots and now I found out that my mobo has lights to indicate what is broken thanks to SupaKomputa so the light to dram lights up and light to cpu flashes when I start the computer. I went and got new ram, tried it on every slot and still light is on.

I guess it might be my mobo what is broken?

Be really sure you have all the slots tight, not just pcie. Power cable to the MB, connector to the cpu fan and so on. I know everybody is telling you this but a loose cable is the problem 90% of the time. Otherwise, could be the MB it self.
