5 Short and 1 Long beep

Hi,i have bought a Supermicro 'x8sax' It have a xeon x5570 in it but when ever i try to turn it on it gives no display but gives 5 samll a nd 1 long beep which is really unusual as i cant find any info on that.So here are my Questions

1)On their website it says that, it uses un buffered- non ecc ram , So are all rams un buffered that are normally used in computers

2)what does 5 short and 1 long beep means

the error you are getting is memory related.

 

Have you got the ram in the correct slots?

how many dimms you installing?

 

You have to have 1 in Dimm 1A

yeah iam putting a stick in the dimm 1a but no luck
