I made a post earlier this week about driver instability but i think i found the problem with my Vega 64.

It is a LC PowerColor card that was purchased in January this year for $808AUD on sale. It works well in terms of FPS ability and seems to beat comparable cards by alot, undervolting well at 1788Mhz - i do not run the card at this speed though.

Under load the driver crashes and screen goes black for 10 seconds before recovering to the windows screen, most common in the Division 2 and games with comparable loads.

19.9.1 seems to be the most stable driver for me right now so that is what i am using and all these stats are from.

Below is my pc running Minecraft with ChaopicV13 Extreme shaders on unlimted FPS (at about 85FPS on 16 Chunks, also it's funny how minecraft has become the "can it run crisis"), and all the associated temp and load statistics. I have no idea how the card peaked at 3035MHz so don't ask, but everythging else is accurate.

Any ideas on how to reduce this temp? The card has 1.1 Years of warranty left so i can get an RMA however PowerColor has not responded to any of my emails for months so i doubt this is an option.

Best bet is calling them out on social media

but the card is not hitting 3035mhz lol

More than likely just reapply thermal paste and ensure proper mounting pressure.

Can add a super thin washer to the screw to apply additional pressure if it doesn't look like your waterblock is doing enough

though taking apart one of those may be a bit of a pain.

Is the fan speed really at 91%?? and card still got up to 85c? Ik that most cards have a temperature target but with the fans at 91% it shouldnt be near 85c. Is it completly new or used?

Was 100% new when i got it. The temp is normally 61c but the hotspot is 91c.

If remounting the cooler doesn't fix the issue it may just be that it's lost some liquid or something, assuming the radiator is dust free
